Chuck & Blair : "Me vs. you, No limits."
With those words, say goodbye to peace on the Upper East Side-- Chuck Bass (Ed Westwick) has officially declared war on Blair Waldorf (Leighton Meester). Here are some more highlights from the show:
They say all's fair in love and war--unless you're the cohabitants living on the Upper East Side, then its a fight to the death. Blair who has always prided herself on getting everything she deserves and last night was no exception, but even she got more than she bargain for! Blair not satisfy with the new and improve Chuck courtesy of the new lady in his life Eva (Clemence Posey), so she made it her personal mission to find dirt on the mysterious woman in the hopes of exposing her as a money hungry, gold digger, who Blair think is just after Chuck's money. But the called info Blair dug up failed to elicit so much as a blip on Chuck's radar, and all she got for her troubles was condemnation from him for attacking Eva's character. But of course, Blair has never been the type to let things go, so she kept searching and finally struck gold as she tried to frame Eva with Chuck's passport. But this time it wasn't only Chuck who got hurt in the process she got burned as well. Blair might have cost Chuck Eva, but what Chuck will cost her will be even more!
Juliet still keeping secrets
Juliet (Katie Cassidy) sure has been a busy little as of late, so far she has schemed to try to come between Serena (Blake Lively) and Blair, made sure Dan (Penn Badgley) and Serena never hook back up again upon her return from Paris, by pushing Vanessa (Jessica Szohr) and Dan together, and attempted to date and conceal her past from Nate (Chace Crawford) all the while why making sure her scheme, what ever it is, isn't exposed yet. But Nate begins to wonder if everything Juliet has been telling him is the truth, especially when he reads a thread about her on Gossip Girl.
Dan's Avoidance issues
Since the tornado that was Georgina(Michelle Trachtenberg) finally blew out of town after last week's episode, taking her son Milo with her once it was exposed that Dan wasn't actually the boy's real father, Dan was having a hard time dealing with the aftermath of that revelation. Vanessa with the help of Lily(Kelly Rutherford) and Rufus(Matthew Settle) tried in vain to help Dan deal with the loss of Milo not being his son, but this only seemed to push him further away. Rather than deal with the losing Milo, he decides to lie to Vanessa and tells her he is going to go see Nate but he, instead seeks out an old friend...Serena. When it's exposed to Vanessa where Dan and who he was with, she begins to doubt whether he really wants her at all, and leads a confrontation where she tells him that unlike Serena she had always chosen him.
Nate or Dan, Dan or Nate, Serena still can't decide!
Yeah that is a tough one-- your half-brother Dan, who's father is now officially married to your mother, your continuance to string along this same half-brother, in the hopes for the relationship that shouldn't be. Dan is your brother Serena, or did the writers suddenly developed amnesia or worst yet, hope the viewers did. It's kinda hard for me to forget something important as that seeing as it was a major plot point not too long ago. Or Nate, who she dumped with the dimwitted reasoning given, that he had somehow betrayed her by having the gull to want to get all the facts before assuming Rufus cheated on Lily. The jerk, with that logic she should have dump him sooner! And it was because of this "thinking", she had the perfect excuse to go running back to Dan. Being involved with Nate was her most mature relationship to date in my opinion, and I'm sorry to say she blew big time. In the end I'm extremely glad both Nate and Dan didn't chose her because she doesn't deserved either.
What I am loving about this direction of the show is the introduction of Juliet and Eva two polar opposites in terms of characters and personality added to the show. I think both of these actresses have added new life to this show and made it even better, where I felt was a bit lacking in certain parts last year. While I was sad to see Clemence Posey who played Eva go--I had assumed she would have stayed on a little longer-- Posey's character Eva did a great job of showing the viewers a side of Chuck Bass that rarely gets seen, even when he dated Blair. Maybe the writers will bring her back later on in the season, but who knows.
I'd be lying if I said that I don't miss the old Chuck Bass. There is a reason why most actors relish playing the bad guy roles and after seeing this episode, its good to have the old Chuck back. As for the character of Juliet, I think she is another great edition to Gossip Girl, as she slowly begins to weave her way into the lives of the our favorite Upper East Siders and I am quite curious to see what exactly will be happening with her Character.
My Grade: 9.

You were right about Eva and Juliet i do like them on the show and i like what they are bring, I hope that Eva comes back, seeing the Old Chuck Bass is fun and i think Blair might regret this and if she did not still care for him she would not have meddled in his life.
I am tired of the triangle between Nate-Serena-Dan and i think Serena should spend sometime figuring out what she Really Wants and stop depending on a man to validate her.
Good review of Gossip Girl can't wait to see what Chuck will do to Blair after all Blair has only herself to blame. Sorry to see Eva go I really did like her and she really made Chuck happy. Dan and Nate made the right choice in deciding not to chose Serena, Serena in my opinion still got a lot growing up to. What Serena needs to do is focus less on trying to land a guy and more on finding out who she is and what she really wants out of life. Can't wait to find out what Juliet is up to and what she wants from Serena. This season is a lot better than last season can't wait for the next episode.
